Why Crum Creek?
In 1949, U.S. Navy Veteran Joseph S. Breskman, sat along the banks of Crum Creek in suburban Philadelphia. He was glancing in the water and noticed scraps of metal that had likely been in the creek for years. They were worn down and tarnished, rusted and defeated. He was fascinated about how such a strong material could corrode over time. It was then that he decided to follow his passion into the chemical coatings business. His sixty year, storied career, saw the development of multiple paint, coating, and chemical blending businesses throughout the United States.
Mr. Breskman manufactured coatings for the United States Department of Defense and the transportation core of the country including trucks, trailers, automobiles, delivery vans, rail cars, and barges. Two generations later, and his family still has a passion for these coatings. Today, the spirit and passion of Joseph Breskman lives on in Crum Creek coatings, a proud specialty manufacturer of coatings for today’s ever more specific and niche demands. Crum Creek will keep Joseph's legacy alive through quality, precision, and his hard working family, all while continuing the admirable pursuit of the American dream.
